Post Office Operations

When will the Post Office be open?

Post Office hours during this event are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9AM to 2PM.

If mail comes in my name to SHU what happens?

US Mail that comes in for students is returned to the USPS - return to sender. (e.g. If it comes from Amazon it will be sent back to Amazon)

Will I get notified if a package comes in my name?

Yes. Packages are still coming in and are being handled as usual, they are logged into the Neopost system, and an email message is sent out to the students' SHU email address. The student needs to respond to the email.

My medication gets sent to SHU, will I be charged to have it sent to me?

If the package is medication, SHU Post Office will ship out at our expense. In any other case, if the student requests it, SHU Post Office will get the cost for shipping the package to the students' requested address. The SHU Post Office will then wait for the student to send in a check and ship the package once the check is received. Otherwise, the package will be returned to sender.
